2020 rider representative candidates

Brett Ward, Bike Rider Rep

I am eager to continue to represent the riders of NYOA!

THANK YOU! The new season is approaching fast and I just want to thank everyone that voted me in as a rider rep for the 2019 season. With the banquet coming up in a couple of weeks, voting in rider reps for the 2020 season will be happening as well. I have enjoyed representing the riders of NYOA and I am eager to continue to do it again for the 2020 season. My family and I have raced and been part of racing my whole life. I have a true passion for this sport. The value of racers and their families, I believe, is top priority for this series. Making sure the riders and the families of riders, ideas, thoughts, and concerns, are represented and heard. This is something I took very serious in 2019 and with your votes I will do it again for the 2020 season.

"Continue to be heard" with me, Brett Ward. Excited to see everyone at the banquet, and don't forget, vote Brett Ward for Bike Rider Representative.

Ed Merrick, Bike Rider Rep

Brad Hoffman, Bike Rider Rep

I would like to thank you for choosing me to be your Rider Representative last year. I am running for this position again because I love and am knowledgeable about the sport.

I have been a WNYOA-NYOA member for 15 years and have been able to watch the sport grow, friendships flourish, families create memories, and athlete's compete their hearts out.

I would be honored to continue promoting the organization, supporting our riders, and resolving conflicts so we can continue to do what we love!

Vote Brad Hoffman 2020 Bike Rider Rep!

Frank "The Ironman" White, Quad Rider Rep

I would like to continue in 2020 as your Quad Rider Rep. This will be my 12th year riding quad and my 7th year riding both bike and quad for the "Tough as Nails" award.

I have a deep passion for the sport and I will continue to be your voice, the voice of the quad rider, bringing your issues to the table and committee members as you bring them to me. I would greatly appreciate your vote for Quad Rider Rep and lets make NYOA 2020 one of the best years yet!

Dustin Carnes, Quad Rider Rep

Hello NYOA I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Dustin Carnes. I am running for the NYOA Rider Rep –Quad for the 2020 Racing season.

I am looking for the opportunity to represent the Quad rider base. I am a firm believer in the safety for our riders and being treated fairly. As a NYOA Rider Rep –Quad I will bring your concerns and questions to the proper boards in an efficient and effective manner. I am a good listener and can also be objective in difficult situations. I am great under pressure and strive to do what is best for everyone. I may not have all the answers you are looking for but I will be determined to work hard to get them.

I have been employed for 20+ years with a Multi-Million dollar company, 6 of those years have been the Operations Manager. I work with people every day to insure the job gets done correctly and all my employees go home safe every day to their families. I deal with contracts and companies and strive to get the job done even if I have to sacrifice my own time.

My Goal as Rider Rep-Quad is to help others to the best of my abilities and to enjoy this series with safety, honesty and as much enjoyment as I do.

I am asking that you let my hard work and determination work for NYOA.

Thank you for your time and Good luck this year to all the Riders Big and Small.

Pat Lane, Quad Rider Rep

Ray Chilson, Youth Rider Rep

Happy New Year!

As most of you know, I’m one of your current youth rider reps. I’ve had the pleasure of representing you, the riders and your families, for the past five years and hope to continue in the role for the 2020 season.

I’ve been involved with the series for the past 7 years as my kids have raced and grown in the series for as many years. I’ve worked as a liaison for the riders with the promoters, committees and series officials to ensure the best outcome for each situation.  I’m able to carry forward your ideas and concerns in an unbiased manner. Safety of the riders and spectators has always been and will continue to be a big personal concern of mine and I will continue to work with the track promoters and officials for any needed changes.

I’m passionate and dedicated to this sport and will continue to work for the riders and push for any needed changes as our sport continues to grow and evolve.

Thank you for your consideration.

Matt Harrington, Youth Rider Rep

Hello Racing Family!

My name is Matt Harrington and I am running for NYOA youth rider rep for the 2020 season.

It is my goal as a rider rep to be a bridge of fast and efficient communication between the riders/their parents and the NYOA leadership team. I have taken the time to become knowledgeable and understand both NYOA & AMA rules fully. If I do not know something or am not able to resolve a problem quickly, I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves to work for this incredible racing family and series.

Anyone who knows me, knows that my character speaks for itself. I am a hard-working, honest, fair, and determined individual. I will represent the voice and best interest of the NYOA family to the leadership team at all times. I have experience in this type of leadership position, as my everyday occupation is very similar to the responsibilities of the Rider Rep. I am a liaison between the larger company and my customer's concerns and needs and then act as a voice on both of their behalf, much the same as a Rider Rep.

My family is in its 5th year being a part of NYOA with two years as your Rider Rep. I have become very passionate about this great organization and its future.

NYOA has given my family so much these past few years and I hope to be able to give back to the NYOA people as much as they've given to me. Please re-elect Matt Harrington as a 2020 Youth Rider Rep.
